OnePlus 3 will be released by the end of second quarter of 2016, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei told during an exclusive interview with CNET Espanol. The statement by Pei was later backed up when OnePlus' CEO and co-founder Pete Lau confirmed at the recently held SURGE tech conference in India that OnePlus 3 will be released on Q2 2016. Based on their statements, many believe that the next smartphone killer will be released sometime in June.

It should be noted that the first gen OnePlus device was released in June 2014, while OnePlus 2 was revealed in July 2015 and was later released commercially in August 2015. If we will based it to OnePlus' tradition in releasing their devices, the next flagship smartphone may be announced within June - July and may make it to the market by August.

Meanwhile, the Guangdong-based smartphone manufacturer has not provided solid information about the smartphone's specifications; however, based on the leaked renders of OnePlus 3 via Mobile-dad, the third-gen OnePlus device resembles its predecessor - OnePlus 2.

Good thing is that OnePlus is working hard to improve their next flagship model, as OnePlus 3 will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, instead of having Snapdragon 810. It can be noted that OnePlus 2 used Snapdragon 810, wherein a lot of users complaint about overheating issues. So, using Snapdragon 820 will definitely be a good start for not repeating the same mistake the company has done before, as the chipset has the same power of 810 but no overheating problems.

Speculations are also rife that OnePlus 3 will sport 5.5-inch screen display at 1920x1080 pixels, 13MP rear camera, 5MP selfie shooter, microSD support, CyanogenOS based on Android Marshmallow version and 3,500mAH removable battery. On the contrary, designer Hasan Kaymak revealed via Concept Phones that OnePlus 3 will come with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display and a 4,000mAH battery capacity. The upcoming device will reportedly intoduce two variants - one with 16GB onboard memory backed with 3GB RAM and the other with 64GB built-in memory coupled with 4GB RAM.

As for OnePlus 3 price, the debut price will be ranging from $350 - $400, although this has to be confirmed yet.
