"Metal Gear Solid" has marked the end of the 30-years long "Metal Gear Saga," which is believed to be one of the most extended series in the history of video gaming.

With creator Hideo Kojima at the center of it, the series has been wrapped up by connecting its final elements with the origins. Gamers have also considered how original the creator has been, especially when taking account of the game mechanics and gameplay, Pop Masters reported.

Meanwhile, in the last couple of months, "Metal Gear Solid" enthusiasts are hoping that "Unreal Engine Four" remake would come into the realms of reality. The initial trailer of the "Metal Gear Solid" fan remake, which was codenamed "Shadow Moses," induced even more optimism, owing to the "coming soon" words inserted at the end of the clip. Sadly, gamers who were waiting for the remake have been disappointed by the fact that "Shadow Moses" has been cancelled.

The unexpected news was conveyed through a Facebook Post, with the message revealing that the game developer had pulled the plug on the remake under reasons beyond its control. However, the announcement did not go further to explain why the much-awaited fan remake was being shut down. Rather, the statement seemed to imply that the cause of cancellation could have been copyright issues.

Because of this, it is probably considered that the copyright issues came about with the MGS developer's evidence of putting the kibosh on fan remakes, and the uncertainty that was brought about by the departure of Kojima from the company. Konami has, in turn, declared that "Metal Solid V" may continue without Kojima, although this does not imply that it will include "Shadow Moses."

In the meantime, the cancellation of "Shadow Moses" will serve as a major disappointment to the group of fans who were throwing support behind the development of the "Metal Gear Sold" remake, Stashed reported. But looking on the positive side, the news of the project's shutdown came with an unclear post stating that "some other news" are coming.

All in all, what the developer has been up to with the "Shadow Moses" project is still a mystery, but the possibility that it may perhaps plan to deliver more gaming experience in the same way they did in the original "Metal Gear Solid" for PlayStation serves as a glimmer of hope for fans.
