Since the announcement of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" in March 2, players have been going back to their old Pokémon games that have been around for the past twenty years as they wait for the new games to arrive. It is unlikely that fans will see "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" until late 2016, and therefore, here are some of the top Pokémon games to revisit.
1. "Pokémon Gold and Silver"
The game saw the introduction of a more complex friendship system. Launched in October 2000, the game comes as one of the most highly rated in the history of Pokémon, with a rating of 10/10. "Pokémon Gold and Silver" was worth the wait, introducing breeding and over 100 new Pokémon - some of which were only available through the breeding option. Fans cannot forget the Shinnies.
2. "Pokémon X and Y"
The games were released in October 2013, and they are favorites among the Pokémon gaming community for many reasons. According to Neurogadget, the games not only did they offer limited character customization but also the world appeared stunning in 3D.
Gamers find interesting things to do throughout the gameplay, in addition to great legends including the addition of fairy type. The only thing that was absent in "Pokémon X and Y" was the storyline since it aimed at kids. In fact, most old fans that had been with the franchise for part or all of the past 15 years were left feeling somehow unfulfilled when it came to the plot.
3. "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire"
The games were originally released in November 2014. They introduced Pokémon contests and quickly became some gamers' favorite mechanic in the game. The world of Hoenn took on a brand new, refreshed look in 3D, offered one of the best maps, and the Pokémon all improved across the board to be more open, thorough, and vibrant.
Player can super train Pokemons in order to refine particular attributes. Fans should look forward to play these games before the release of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon sometime in November.
Initially, GameStop unveiled that Preorders have already started for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" ahead of the release. The two games are available on the retailer's site for $39.99.
