There has been much attention on Xiaomi Mi 5 since its announcement at MWC 2016. The smartphone is a true flagship offer with many great features and little to no notable issues, all with a price tag as low as $300.
However, availability outside eastern markets has always been a major controversy for the Chinese OEM. According to GSM Arena, the trend might change soon enough because VP Hugo Barra appears to be making good on his long-standing promise to expand market availability of the brand to Europe.
The initial step in the expansion, according to a different report by the same publication, was teased during the release of the Mi 5 and Mi 4s. Now news has emerged on the Polish version of the Xiaomi website, giving proof that the company is committed to go international.
The site says that the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 4s will be coming to the Polish market soon. Furthermore, there is a promise for extra information on the time and price shortly, besides a list of the exact models that will be available in the market. It is possible that all the three variants of the Mi 5 flagship will be available in Poland.
The variants come with a 5.15-inch Full HD display and a Snapdragon 820 processor, although the entry-level variant is clocked at 1.8GHz, has 32GB storage capacity, and 3GB RAM. The 64GB variant has the same memory capacity and a processor speed of 2.15GHz. The high-end variant only adds another gig of RAM and a 3D ceramic back cover.
The rest of great feature for the Mi 5 run across the board, including the innovative 16MP camera with 4-axis OIS, 600 Mbps 4G+ connectivity, and full-featured NFC among other goodies.
While fans will be ready for any further details on pricing and availability of the smartphones in the Polish market, it is evident that entering a new market will bring the retail price of any handset higher.
