Contrary to early reports, Caila Quinn will not be the next Bachelorette. Instead, another contestant from Ben Higgins' season, JoJo Fletcher will be taking her spot.

According to Inquisitr, ABC decided to replace Caila in the next installment of "The Bachelorette" 2016 after receiving several negative reactions from fans. It was said that many found Caila to be boring. Some even claimed that they will boycott the show if the network decided to cast Quinn.

Rumors of Quinn being the next "The Bachelorette" 2016 started when ABC president Paul Lee claimed that the next season of the reality series will be a lot more diverse than the last. Although, he did not specify if the "diversity" will apply on the lead or the contestants, many pointed out that the show has had an all-white cast since the beginning.

By casing JoJo Fletcher as the next Bachelorette, the outlet pointed out that Lee had just gone back on his word. It also did not help that multiple reports came out recently saying that Quinn has already started filming for "The Bachelorette" 2016.

When it was announced during "The Bachelor" finale that Fletcher will be taking Quinn's place, many reportedly took to social media to console the latter.

"Ima let you finish, Chris Harrison, but Caila Quinn was ROBBED," a netizen wrote.

According to Us Weekly, the ABC producers actually offered "The Bachelorette" 2016 role to Caila at first. By some twist of fate, Fletcher ended up snatching the opportunity from her the last minute.

In spite of it all, Caila was very gracious about the alleged Bachelorette diss. She even posted a throwback snap of Fletcher and "The Bachelor" 2016 winner Lauren Bushnell wishing them the best in their new journey.

"Congratulations to these beautiful girls! Sending love as the journey isn't over, it's only just beginning," she wrote.

Fletcher, on the other hand, admitted that she is very excited to headline the new reality show. Although she had her heart broken by Higgins, she shared that she is looking forward to what's to come in her future. Higgins also shared in her joy, adding that she deserves to be the next "Bachelorette" for 2016.
