Pacquiao was stranded due to the winter storm, cancelling his flight to Los Angeles. He decided to watch the NBA game, Yahoo Sports reported.

During the game's halftime, Mayweather and his Money Team walked over to Pacquiao's side. The two were seen talking and exchanging phone numbers.

Pacquiao told The Associated Press that Mayweather gave his number to him. He also added that the two never met in person before.

The 36-year-old boxing legend's adviser Michael Koncz told ESPN that the talk between the two rival boxers was a "private discussion," adding that the meeting was just a coincidence.

Pacquiao recently served as a judge at the Miss Universe pageant held on Sunday night, while Mayweather always watched Heat games. The former is also a player-coach for a professional basketball league in the Philippines and is also good friends with Erik Spoelstra, the coach of Heat.

The arena's screen showed Pacquiao and Mayweather side by side with a caption "Coming in 2015?"

There has been no clear announcement from either parties on whether the anticipated fight between Pacquiao, who has a record of 57 wins and five losses with 38 knockouts, and Mayweather, who has 47 wins and no losses with 26 knockouts, will finally happen.
