Perhaps the most awaited Android flagship this 2016 is the one with the vanilla flavor - the Google Nexus 2016 family of devices. But it appears that there is no need to wait for the release date later this year as killer deals involving top-notch Android phones are aplenty, offering huge savings and the best Android experience around.

Tempting Galaxy S7/S7 Edge

One deal that surprises is all about the hot and gorgeous twins Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, which reviewers said have delivered on what's lacking with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge of last. The latest models are on the road to perfection and thankfully Samsung is making it easy for Android fans to own any of the devices.

For starters, Samsung is packing its latest flagships with a free Gear VR headset until March 18, which translates to savings of $100 for buyers. And over at AT&T and T-Mobile, according to Gotta Be Mobile, the smartphones are ready to take home with another free unit as the telcos are pushing them out with a "Buy One, Get One" promo deal. Do note, however that the offer entails contract agreement that lasts minimum of two years.

And Best Buy has decided to sweeten the original deal from Samsung, not only that buyers can pick the GS7 and S7 Edge with a free virtual reality toy but also with a free 64GB Samsung microSD card. Or if the plan is to scour the online auction site eBay, know that the sexy and mighty Galaxy S7 starts at $599.

The Moto X option

But if the preference is the closest thing to Pure Android then the best option, no doubt, is the Moto X Pure Edition. Motorola prides of its creation as nothing but near-stock Android that at the same time boast of flagship killer specs - a Quad HD display that stretches 5.7-inch, a 21-megapixel main shooter, a massive battery that ensures all-day operation and waterproofing protection that nearly matches that of the Galaxy S7.

Such an impressive mix is deployed with 16GB of built-in memory, and according to BGR, the Moto X Pure Edition in Real Bamboo or Bamboo/White back plate can be ordered from Amazon for only $299. The deal falls under the Prime Shipping category, which means free and fast delivery.

Hard-to-resist Nexus 6P

Now the Nexus 6P has been the recipient of up to $100 price cuts from various retailers and the latest to join, according to Droid Life, are Amazon and Best Buy. Amazon shaved off $75 from the original mark while Best Buy discounted the phone $50. The latter offer might be less tempting but for good measure it came with a free case protector.

And as the rumors continue to rage on when the Nexus 2016 release date will be and how exactly Google will play out its plan for the Pure Android flagships, the deals above should give Android fans something to think about. That really, there is no need to wait for the next Nexus to come.
