It has been predicted that the long-awaited "The Winds of Winter" book might be available in about three or four months from now. Similarly, it is also expected that the book will not get released later than the seventh season of "Games of Thrones" in 2017.

The analysis done by Amazon Advisor points out that the book will see a release in between the two periods as mentioned above. The predictions are based on the messages that the author conveyed earlier in the year.

According to the publication, George R.R. Martin made an announcement that "The Winds of Winter" would not be released ahead of the premiere of 'Game of Thrones' Season 6. He wrote a message in his online journal saying he wished he had "completed and delivered 'The Winds of Winter' on or before the last day of 2015..." but the book was not yet done.

Confusing as his words might be, he went on to explain further that he was upset about the delay conveying that the editors, agents, publishers, translators, and HBO were as well disappointed. He even made an apology, but still admitted that he was not sure when the book would be finished.

That being said, the highly acclaimed author revealed that there is a very high possibility of "The Winds of Winter" getting spoiled to readers in "Game of Thrones" Season 6. Owing to this, he has decided to include a "big twist" in the book which he claims HBO will not be able to do.

As per is words, the twist involves a dead character who is not yet dead in the books but the film. "So the show cannot do this, unfortunately, because they have killed a character that I have not killed," he told IGN.

Based on all his words, it is possible that the book may even take up to a year before its release depending on its contents. It is also apparent that once the book has been finished, there will still be a long process before the prospective reader finally sees it.

The important thing to note is, Martin himself has already declared that he will have finished "The Winds of Winter" before the premiere of "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Fans can, therefore, hope that the book will be out in the second half of the year or in early 2017.
