"Criminal Minds" Season 11 returns with episode 18 on March 23, Wednesday. The upcoming segment is titled "A Beautiful Disaster" and expected to reveal the fate of the person who got shot in the previous segment. Episode 17 "The Sandman" picked up six months after the events of "Derek." Morgan returned to work and he is now a married man. He and Savannah are expecting a baby. Back at work at BAU, Morgan and the rest of the team worked on children's abduction case. An UnSub looking for revenge from his mother who he blames for becoming the victim at the hands of a paedophile.
Since his mother was dead, he would hunt for families and kill the parents by gluing their eyes with sand and glue. The BAU was successfully able to solve the case. Towards the end, the episode shifted its focus and ended with a huge cliffhanger. While picking up Savannah from her Lamaze class, the couple might have got into trouble. As the screen went black, a gunshot was heard followed by Savannah screaming Morgan's name. However, it still remains uncertain who exactly got shot and what happened.
Moving on to "Criminal Minds" Season 11 episode 18, the show is expected to pick up from where it left off and reveal the answer to the burning questions: Who got shot, Derek or Savannah?
Meanwhile, Spoilersguide description for "A Beautiful Disaster" teases an action-packed episode 18 with an intriguing storyline. According to the publication, BAU team will work together to protect themselves.
When an UnSub attacks the BAU, the team members spring into action to catch the person responsible. While the synopsis does not reveal much about the upcoming segment, a promo video for "Criminal Minds" Season 11 teases the events of episode 18. The trailer teases the "most powerful episode" of the season and it shows Derek in distress.
In the side note, "A Beautiful Disaster" is written by Kirsten Vangsness, "Criminal Mind" actress who plays the role of Penelope Garcia and showrunner Erica Messer. In addition, the instalment has been directed by Matthew Gray Gubler, the actor who portrays Spencer Reid.
Given the involvement of significant cast members of the series, entertainment publication Cartermatt is speculating that this segment is "hugely important one to the direction of the show as a whole."
