As the sixth season of AMC's The Walking Dead wraps up, fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the series' ultimate baddie -- a barbed-wire laced baseball bat bearing guy named Negan. In the comic books, which is worth noting that the TV show does not follow canonically, Negan kills one of the series' most beloved characters in Glenn Rhee.

But in the TV show, who gets the bat to the face is still up in the air, at least for the time being. The season has two episodes left to air, and fans are expected to find out who Negan kills in the finale.

Yet instead of Glenn, there is some speculation that it could be Daryl Dixon who is next to bite the dust.

Dixon, played by actor Norman Reedus, is arguably the most popular character in the TV show. The character however, is not found in the comic book series.

While Glenn's death in the comic books was iconic and a truly horrifying scene, some fans believe the TV show will stray from this and give the death to Daryl instead.

The death by the hands of Negan comes via a barbed-wire wrapped baseball bat called "Lucille", but who gets the axe is anyone's guess.

Rumors that Daryl will get nixed is sparked mainly by him not being a main comic book character, but Norman Reedus has throngs of fans hooked to The Walking Dead, causing doubt that it would be him.

Glenn Rhee's death scare a few episodes earlier this season also caused quite an uproar, so to have him die would be utterly catastrophic to non-comic book readers.

Then again it may not be Glenn or Daryl, but another character.

There's Abraham Ford, who was supposed to die via an arrow in the eye. Last episode, it was Denise who took his place. There are rumors that it could be him in the finale who gets beaten to death by Lucille.

Fans will only have to wait two more episodes to find out. Let's all hope it lives up to the hype.
