Pop singer Adele has taken to social media to apologize to a fan who was injured at a concert recently. An attendee at a show in Glasgow was struck by a chain attached to the ceiling which came undone.
The "All I Ask" singer was performing at the SSE Hydro as part of her sell-out tour. According to Metro prior to the commencement of the show, a chain attached to production rigging equipment came undone.
The singer was unaware of the incident till after her show. The show is the first of two in the Scottish city scheduled for her latest album tour.

A spokesperson for SSE Hydro speaking to the publication said a chain came down and hit a woman in the audience. It was confirmed that the audience member was attended by an onsite medical team. Thereafter, she was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
The spokesperson said officials at the venue were working with the production team to ascertain how it happened. Furthermore, it was reported that as soon as the incident occurred the lights were brought back up and spectators were moved.
The tour is the first for "Hello" singer Adele who took a seven-year break from recording . Adele returned to the stage in 2015 following the release of her album "25." She is set to tour Birmingham this month, before taking off to Europe.
Meanwhile, at a show in London at the O2 arena Adele addressed comments made by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver about breastfeeding, Sydney Morning Herald reported. The singer rubbished comments by Oliver to add pressure on new mothers who found it difficult to breastfeed.
"Some of my mates got post-natal depression from the way those midwives were talking," the publication quoted Adele as saying. Oliver having successfully headed a campaign to introduce a tax on sweetened drinks reportedly said the United Kingdom has the worst breastfeeding rates.
Oliver reportedly said breastfeeding was convenient, easy and free. The comments earned the ire of new mothers who face genuine issues with breastfeeding. He has since apologized for his remarks.
