The director of the Civilization Office of Central Government, Yang Baoqin, lauded the remarkable achievements of the organization's volunteers.

"Volunteers from the CSCLF have provided better service to the public. Through these volunteer services, they have acquired knowledge, practiced their professional skills and made contributions to society," she stated.

Meanwhile, CSCLF Vice President Qi Mingqiu noted how volunteerism from the group's members had been prevalent in the country and was applauded by President Xi Jinping himself.

"The working staff of Soong Ching-ling's former residence should maintain a volunteer team to provide long-term volunteer service to the public. Through this volunteer service, the CSCLF can promote Soong Ching-ling's spirit and the socialist core values," Qi stated.

The charitable institution, which was originally known as the "Soong Ching Ling Foundation," was established in May 1982 in honor of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's second wife, Soong Ching-ling.

More popularly known as "Madame Sun Yat-sen," Soong played a critical role in the establishment of the Republic of China after her husband led the 1911 revolution.

Aside from being the wife of the Republic of China's first honorary president, Soong is also assigned to be the republic's vice president.

After several historical twists during the Cultural Revolution as well as the Chinese Civil War, Soong earned the trust of the Chinese people and was later dubbed as an Honorary President of the People's Republic of China.

She was also referred to as the "mother of modern China."
