Activision is running a free weekend of "Call of Duty: Black Ops III's" Awakening DLC map pack for a limited time on PlayStation 4.
On March 30, Wednesday, Activision's Communications Manager Scott Lowe, posted on the company's official blog, announcing that beginning April 1 at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm UK, game players worldwide will be able to try out the latest four multiplayer maps - "Gauntlet," "Rise," "Splash" and the reimagined fan-favorite, "Skyjacked," which is from "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2."
Game players can also experience Awakening's mind-bending Zombies map and Der Eisendrache, which is set in an Austrian castle amid World War II. Treyarch will also be activating the Double XP and Double Weapon XP across all platforms this weekend, it will all end on April 4.
To access the content, game players should simply go to the menu, then select "Der Eisendrache" from the selection screen. From that point, players can begin dispatching the undead in the mountaintop fortress of the Austrian Alps.
"To check out the new multiplayer maps, it's as simple as jumping into the Awakening playlist or players preferred mode specific playlist from the Multiplayer menu - Awakening's maps will automatically show up in the rotation," Lowe added.
Meanwhile, the much-awaited details for the second DLC pack finally arrive this week. Treyarch took to Twitter on March 29, Tuesday, to announce that the first details on the game's next round of DLC pack will be revealed during a special live stream with game director Jason Blundell on March 31.

The video game developer company evidently plans to discuss the main details on the game's new multiplayer maps and the next Zombies chapter amid the said special live stream. The rumor mill has it that the second DLC pack may be released next week considering the previous DLC release schedules in the past.
The game is the 12th installment in the game series. The first-person shooter video game follows a team of black ops soldiers that take places in a world facing an upheaval from climate change and new innovations in the year 2065.
