If some recent reports are to be believed, soon the Xbox One Backward Compatibility will include "Call of Duty: Black Ops II." It is expected that Xbox One owners will be able to play this classic first-person shooter game on their consoles by the end of this month.

Last week, Microsoft confirmed the list of Xbox 360 games, including "Call of Duty: Black Ops," "Skate 3," "Bioshock" and others, that it will release on Xbox One as a part of its backward compatibility program. In fact, the official Xbox One feedback website, launched shortly after Microsoft announced its Xbox One Backward Compatibility program last year, allows fans to vote for Xbox 360 games they would like to play on the current-gen console, Express UK reported.

Interestingly, the "Call of Duty" franchise virtually dominates the top ten Xbox 360 games for February. While "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" is in the no. 1 spot, it is followed by "Modern Warfare 2" in fourth place, "Black Ops" in fifth, "Modern Warfare" in sixth, "Modern Warfare 3" in seventh and "World at War" in eighth.

In a post on Xbox Wire news blog, the Redmond-headquartered tech titan confirmed that the February Xbox One Update release had arrived last week itself. Xbox One is different from the PlayStation in a number of ways, and one of them is the manner in which Microsoft adds new features to the console. While Xbox One owners receive a few new features in the form of updates just about every month, Sony tends to reveal comprehensive software upgrades once or twice every year, GottabeMobile said in a recent report.

Users can start with the February Xbox One Update by going to the Achievement area in their profile to find out which friends earned more Gamerscore than them. While Microsoft had removed the ability to hide a game within the My Games & Apps area, this option is back now and just ideal for temporarily removing game betas from the game library.

As of now, Microsoft is yet to announce the precise March Xbox One Update, provided there is one. Nevertheless, it is presumed that the tech giant will reveal new features as well as software update at Xbox One Showcase scheduled for Feb. 25. It is expected that Microsoft will showcase new content for Xbox and Windows 10 on the occasion.
