According to previous rumors, Nintendo was supposed to unveil the much anticipated Pokemon title in February; on the contrary, the game publisher reportedly shifted to a new plan, as they will no longer release "Pokemon Z" - just yet - and already cancelled its development. This move by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company is said to give way for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" development and release.

"Pokemon Z" was supposed to be introduced during Nontendo's Direct event, only to blow game enthusiasts' mind when the company announced the two new titles instead ("Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon"). Because of this move, the possibility of "Pokemon Z" being launched is getting dimmer. Neurogadget even reported that Nintendo and The Pokemon Company will no longer release the said title as they do have enough titles waiting to be released this year.

However, because these are mere speculations and rumors, games should still wait for the publisher's official announcement, besides, anything could still be possible since the year is not over yet and it's still "Pokemon's" 20th year anniversary.

On other news, another "Pokemon" title is expected to be released this year. "Pokemon Go," an augmented-reality game for Android and iOS devices slated to be released sometime 2016, is now having its beta test in Japan. According to N4BB, the beta test in Japan, which was conducted by Niantic Labs, were only done by selected Japanese gamers.

"Pokemon Go" will feature 500 pokemons, wherein 151 of it are from the original generation, plus all of these Pokemons will be divided into three categories - normal, legendary and mythic. "Pokemon Go" will also introduce Badges and will feature Trainer Customization.
