"The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 6 finale ended with an introduction of Negan, who killed one of the Alexandrians. However, the question remains: Who did Negan kill?

The comic book creator Robert Kirkman and showrunner Scott Gimple appeared on "Talking Dead" to talk about the shocking finale and Season 7 storyline. According to Kirkman the Season 6 finale cliffhanger is not the most important part of the story. However, it is the conclusion of the story.

"This episode is about the loss of that confidence. It's about changing that mindset. It's about tearing Rick Grimes down and that's the conclusion of this story," Kirkman said (via Independent.co.uk) about the shocking finale ending.

As for "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7, the show is expected to follow the aftermath of Negan's action. "The story of who died, the story of what comes next, of who Negan killed, of what comes after that, that's really the story of Season 7," Kirkman revealed.

While it is too early to expect concrete plot details and synopsis, "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is expected to explore the lives of the residents of Alexandria Safe Zone and how Negan's presence will impact them.

Gimple assured that they will deliver "something so great and so intense" in "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7 that fans are going to feel like "Okay, all right, fair play." He promised to provide an episode that will justify it all.

"We're going to deliver you something fantastic. ... We want you to be one of those people in that lineup. We want you to feel that suspense and that terror and that pain, and were going to deliver you a story next season that justifies it," Gimple told the show host.
