This conspiracy supposedly links to a beloved figure from his past. The synopsis did not mention who this person is. But a preview for the upcoming episode hinted that it could be his mother.

A sneak peek for "Damien" Episode 6 showed Damien and his governess Anne Rutledge (Barbara Hershey) talking at a restaurant. However, their conversation somehow turned sour. Perhaps Anne said something to offend Damien and to bring back memories of his dead mother.

The past episodes of "Damien" showed how Anne has turned into Damien's guardian. She helped him avoid prison after Detective Shay took him into questioning. She practically acted like his mother with how she always looked out for him. Instead of being thankful for her help, Damien hinted that he wants Anne out of his life when he threatened her life.

"You really think you're my mother don't you? She's dead. Maybe you'll have something in common with her soon," Damien told Anne in the video preview below for episode 6.

What really happened after their conversation is uncertain. However, the sneak peek teased Damien suddenly turned evil during a confrontation with Anne. The video ended to reveal Anne up against a wall while Damien choked her.

Whether Damien will fully turn evil is something that Bradley James wants the fans to keep guessing. The "Damien" star told Collider in a past interview, that in the series his character makes some decisions that may or may not be agreeable to the viewers. This is supposedly what makes Damien human since he makes the decisions depending on the circumstance.

In the same interview, James said "Damien" will also put viewers in the character's shoes. It will reportedly also have viewers asking themselves what they would do if they were put in the same situation as Damien's.
