The 8-minute long trailer hyped the fans over the globe with its heart-pounding action. In the trailer, it showcases the old and new character's respective special attacks.

It also shows a new feature that allows game players to transform into various monsters. However, it should be noted first that the said feature can only be done through the "Monster Coin" feature from the original game, which is used to summon monsters.

Another interesting feature includes the "Multiplayer Battle Mode," which will be added to the game via a free update. The sub-scenarios and boss characters, Dragonlord and Esterk, will also be added at a later date by means of a free downloadable content (DLC), Gematsu reported.

The original characters and their voices include Mirai Moriyama as Razel, Takayuki Yamada as Cesare, Nana Mizuki as Orneze and Emi Takei as Tereshia. Meanwhile, new "Dragon Quest" voice characters include Yoko Hisa as Meena, Chafurin as Torneko, Hiroki Yasumoto as Carver, Aoi Yuki as Maribel, Mutsumi Tamura as Gabo and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Angelo.

As for the returning characters, they will be voiced by Shoko Nakagawa as Alena, Hiraku Midorikawa as Kiryl, Miyuki Sawashiro as Maya, Ayana Taketatsu as Jessica and Hiroshi Kamiya as Terry.

The newest hack-and-slash video game in town is expected to arrive on May 27 exclusively for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita console. It is said to be a spin-off game and the sequel of 2015's "The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below."
