After a decade of development since its announcement in 2006, "Final Fantasy XV" has finally got a release date and a more detailed demo. The game is expected to arrive in Sep. 30 with a complete story and several new features.
With only eight months to wait, gamers have a chance of playing the "Final Fantasy XV" Platinum demo in the meantime. The demo is not giving away a lot in terms of story, and only basic features are highlighted. However, it displays some bits and pieces of what seem to be part of the true "Final Fantasy XV."
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the demo is focusing on Noctis, who is the game's protagonist, as he sets out on his adventure, guided by a furry creature. Unlike the previous demo, which dealt with the bromantic aspect of the forthcoming story, Platinum has focused on Noctis and his exploration of his inner self, and his journey through the wonderland.
According to gamers' opinions, the new "Final Fantasy XV" demo is remarkable. The shiny Engine has offered quite some details, stretching from tufts of glass which sway in the wind to magic particle effects hanging in the air after any high powered attack.
Fans have been excited by the raw imagination that has gotten fused into the designs of the game. Though much of it has not been seen to the very end, the pseudo realism of the setting of the game combined with other things like otherworldly fantasy sceneries, are making the games environment an interesting world to explore, Trusted Reviews reported.
In regard to the demo combat, gaming analysts say it feels like the next natural step ahead of the "Kingdom Hearts" battle system, only with some parts removed. Contrariwise, they also term it as really sticky, with some "few hiccups" that take time to get used to. For instance, the combat system begs the question whether the attack is tied to the circle button, and the dodge button tied to the square button as a replacement for the other way round.
The only complaint from gamers is that the game feels empty. They claim that "Final Fantasy XV" has gorgeous environments, good combat mechanics, and nice music, but tiny bits of the story are not enough to catch the players' attention.
In spite of this, it is quite understandable because this is just a "Final Fantasy XV" demo. More elements lie ahead when the game is finally launched later this year.
