For those who want to try out the game before its game launching, the beta test for its multiplayer gameplay will be available this month. Fans who have played the ultimate edition of the "Gears of War" either on Xbox One or Windows 10 can get the chance of joining the beta test on console on April 18, while Xbox Live Gold members can try it out on April 25. The multiplayer beta tests will end on May 1.

For the ultimate edition players, the game developer has extended their time to join the early access of the multiplayer beta testing from March 1 to April 11. Players can just log on to Xbox Live and play the game on the console or PC by April 11.

Meanwhile, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson talked to Entertainment Weekly about the new cover art for the game. He said that the new cover art showed a closer look at the new three main characters of the game, which are Fenix, Kait Diaz, and Del Walker. It also showed the new weapons of the game, new enemies, and a cameo of Marcus Fenix as a statue.

In addition, Fergusson said that "weathering the storm" was their inspiration for the cover art because they wanted to express the idea of the game's environment and weather. The environment and weather elements play a big part of the game and they wanted the players to get a hint of what to expect. He added that the new protagonists were needed in the cover art because they were essential elements of the game.
