Google Earth Pro offers a lot more features than the free standard version of Google Earth. For one, Google Earth Pro features high-resolution images and automated geographic location.

Google Earth Pro users can also use Super Image Overlays based on imported image files exceeding the maximum texture size. Pro automatically geo-locates geographic information system images. On the other hand, users of the standard Google Earth have to do this manually.

Pro also gives access to multi-point mapping and data layers for demographics (age, current year income, for example) and traffic. It also features animated movie creation.

Users of Google Earth Pro can also print images at a resolution of 4800×3200 compared to standard Google Earth whose image resolution is limited to 1000×1000. Pro also allows a user to automatically import thousands of addresses at once to be pinned on a map, Tech Crunch reported.

New users must request a key to register. Existing users can use their currents keys without expiration and there will be no changes to their accounts.

Google Earth and Google Earth Pro provide virtual globe, map and geographical information. It maps the Earth by superimposing of images derived from satellites, aerial photography and geographic information system or GIS.
