Seth Rollins has been out since November when he suffered a knee injury while he was WWE World Heavyweight champion. It is expected that Rollins will return sometime in the next couple of months but reports are saying that he's not going to be part of the main event picture.

According to Cageside Seats, Rollins is not expected to be inserted into the main event feud once he officially returns. However, it should be noted that this is only just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed.

The 29-year-old underwent surgery in November to repair a torn ACL, MCL and medial meniscus. Doctors gave him about six to nine months of recovery. It was revealed in a social media post last month that Rollins has been cleared to return to training.

Rollins' first television appearance after his surgery happened during the 2015 Slammy Awards wherein he accepted the 2015 Superstar of the Year Award. The former Shield member was on crutches but the crowd gave him a huge round of applause.

In his acceptance speech, Rollins promised the fans that he will be back better than ever. He used the words "Redesign. Rebuild. Reclaim" as motivation for his recovery.

On the other hand, it was announced in early April that Rollins will be starring in a WWE Studios movie titled "TEMPLE." His co-stars include Wesley Snipes, Anne Heche and Dave Annable while the filming already started on April 6, per Wrestling Inc.

The movie is about a team of trained military operatives trapped inside an isolated military complex that faces strange and horrific events. "TEMPLE" was written by Matt Savelloni and directed by John Stockwell.

The WWE partnered up with KISS member Gene Simmons to form Erebus Pictures that will produce the film and future projects. Nonetheless, fans can expect Rollins to make a return sometime later after filming, possibly before SummerSlam in August.

He will likely get a huge pop and ovation that will turn him a babyface. He deserves to be in the main event picture upon his return because he never lost the WWE World Heavyweight championship.
