In "Love Stories," Hannah spends time with her former literary rival, Tally Schifrin (guest star Jenny Slate) which turned into a day of emotional confession, bicycle theft and finding an outlet to vent about her feelings of anger and betrayal over Adam and Jessa's (Jemima Kirke) relationship after which she embraces writing again and enters a storytelling contest.

Meanwhile, Jessa and Adam's relationship erupt with unresolved issues and bottled up frustrations that involves Hannah in "I Love You Baby." Jessa can't help thinking about Hannah because she is feeling bad about sacrificing their friendship by starting a relationship with Adam. Adam on the other hand, gets irked at the very mention of Hannah's name and in the middle of his violent vent, he rants about how he hates Hannah.

By the end of the episode, Hannah says she knew about the fight having heard her name come up in the middle of screams and altercation when she came by and left a fruit basket in Adam's apartment. At that moment she said that she finally felt free of it all.

As for other characters, Marnie (Alison Williams) dreams about Ray (Alex Karpovsky) as she drops by his apartment and they become a thing again. She even asks him to accompany her in a tour with Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). Shoshana's (Zosia Mamet) anti-hipster marketing campaign on the other hand proves to be the antidote to the declining sales of Ray's coffee shop.

Meanwhile, Elijah's (Andrew Rannells) high profile relationship with Dill (Corey Stoll) ends in an unexpected and gut-wrenching way when he [Elijah] says that Dill deserves someone special who does not care about his celebrity status.

Realizing that Elijah is right, Dill thanks Elijah and ironically made it clear that he feels Elijah is not that person. Elijah asks him what he is looking for and in this scene, Rannells knocks it out of the park when he cries as Dill tells him that he is looking for someone who is "less aimless."
