Two teams from opposite ends of the 2015-2016 Bundesliga table, VfB Stuttgart (9-15-6, 33 points) and Borussia Dortmund (22-3-5, 71 points), are scheduled to square off with one another at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on April 23rd, Saturday for a matchday 31 game of the season.

Stuttgart is on a five-game winless spell as they drift at fourth from the last place in the current German top flight table, dangerously two points above the bottom three relegation zone presently occupied by Werder Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Hannover 96.

With four matchdays left in the season, Die Schwaben can still pull away from possible relegation to 2. Bundesliga next season although they will be facing a tough road against Dortmund, Werder Bremen, Mainz, and Wolfsburg in their last four games.

Head coach Jürgen Kramny's boys were nipped by fellow struggling squad FC Augsburg, 0-1, last Saturday on the road at the SGL Arena to drop their second straight game, as reported by Vavel.

Augsburg forward Alfred Finnbogason scored the lone goal of the match for the hosts at the 36th minute.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund bounced back from a drawn game in the previous matchday with a 3-0 trouncing of Hamburg at their home field of Signal Iduna Park last Sunday, as per Goal.

American midfielder Christian Pulisic netted the opening goal of the contest with a right-footed shot from the left side of the box at the 38th minute off an assist from team captain Mats Hummels after a corner kick.

Afterward, Colombian striker Adrián Ramos scored a double at the 44th and 86th minutes to complete the three-goal haul of head coach Thomas Tuchel's side.

Even with the win, Dortmund remained seven points behind league leaders Bayern Munich in the overall standings and 20 points above third-placed team Bayer Leverkusen with only four matchdays left in their current campaign. This means that they are a lock to finish as this season's runners-up and will directly qualify in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League next season.

The predicted result is another 3-0 blowout win for Borussia Dortmund.
