EA's Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment studio has announced that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst's" release date will be delayed until June. Closed beta of the game will be launched on April 22, and will end on April 26.

DICE studio has announced that the released date of their game's reboot will be pushed from May 24 to June 7 in North America, and June 9 in Europe, according to the game's official website. Design Director Erik Odeldahl wrote in a note on the website that they wanted to have more time to polish the game's social features and improve other features, and they are confident that the extra two weeks will make the game better.

The beta and the full game versions will include social play features like Leaderboards, play multiplayer with other players, and many more. The results from this beta test will be used to improve the game when it launches in June. Last week, the registrations for beta testing was opened briefly, but were closed right away in just less than an hour.

The abilities of Faith, the protagonist, will be locked out first to make the players get familiar with the different actions she can do in the game, said DICE senior producer Jeremy Miller in an interview with Gamespot. The game will not feature guns anymore unlike the first version of the game that had it.

The development team is using a new type of online technology that will support the new features of the game, and they want it to work perfectly in it, Odeldahl said. Many gamers are hoping that this will be the final delay for this game.

The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it has a price of $69.90. Players can pre-order the game on Origin for the PC, the PlayStation Store for the PS4, and Xbox Marketplace for the Xbox One.

This is a reboot of the original game from 2008, and it will be an open-world action-adventure platform video game. Players will follow the story of the game's protagonist Faith as she becomes the great heroine that opens the eyes of the citizens in her city. Gamers will be able to explore the beautiful city of Glass, and free roam from the tallest skyscrapers to the dark tunnels under it.
