Rumors has it that Microsoft's Surface Phone will come in three variants, all powered with high-end hardware and specs. However, according to NVO News, these three variants will cover mid ti high-end ranges of specs.

It is said that the Surface Phone, which will supposedly replace Microsoft's Lumia brand, will be offered in three varied RAMs and storage capacity - 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM with 128 ROM and 8GB RAM with 512GB built-in storage. All of Surface Phone's variants is said to highlight an advanced trackpoint, which was seen on Microsoft's patent application via Free Patents Online. Microsoft has yet to comment on whether they will add the trackpoint feature specifically for Surface Phone since the filed patent was created in 2015 and was just publicly released recently.

Furthermore, the latest rumor about the Surface Phone is that it will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 830. The news came after Microsoft listed Snapdragon 830/823 SoC on its website for their new smartphone line up. It is said that the Snapdragon 830 is expected to use Samsung's 10nm production process and would be able to support 8GB of memory.

If Surface Phone will materialize in using Snapdragon 830, consumers would be able to experience a supercar-styled smartphone, with its processor power, level of memory and enhanced graphics.

Other rumored specs that can be expected in Microsoft's Surface Phone includes a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 1440x2560 resolution, 21MP rear shooter, 8MP Zeiss Wide-Angle lens for selfie snapper and Windows 10 Mobile OS.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the company may ditch its Windows 10 Mobile OS and will switch to Android OS. It is said that there are only limited apps which can be seen on Windows Store compared to Android Google Play Store's crowd of popular apps. The said factor is one of the reasons why Microsoft failed to impress the crowd with their Windows Phone. Microsoft has yet to comment on this matter though.
