Nintendo is set to make its way back to the console market as their next invention, the Nintendo NX is reportedly set to hit gaming stores before the year ends.

Initially set for a March 2017 release date, Nintendo confirmed that they are on schedule to bring the newest console just in time before Christmas, CNet.com reported. However, some sees Nintendo's current move does not address what they sorely lack.

Scott Stein of Cnet.com wrote in his article that Nintendo just have the right platforms to entertain their avid consumers. From Nintendo Wii U to the Nintendo 3DS, the company is right on par with the other console providers and what they should be addressing is the lack of games available for their consoles.

He further remarked that the games launched by Nintendo is lacking quality and even the quantity makes it hard for a gamer to patronize the product. What Nintendo should do is to further expand their impressive arsenal of game franchises such as "Super Mario," "Zelda" and "Pokemon" among others.

Furthermore, Nintendo's current hardware does not lack creativity or innovation but it is the continuity of great games that they should focus on. The Wii U started great with its state of the art technology but the playable games for the said console has been very limited.

Also, Nintendo's desire to venture on the world of smartphone gaming sort of serves as a distraction. They already have a great handheld device in Nintendo 3DS and that is where the company should focus, Stein added.

Moving on to what the Nintendo NX should bring to the table, Stein said that it should have the compatibility with Wii U as well as the 3DS. Also, a subscription type of digital store should be made where gamers can play classic Nintendo titles. Lastly, since most consoles are getting ready for the VR phenomenon, the NX should be VR-ready as well.

In other news, the specs is said to be a lot more powerful than Sony's PlayStation 4. Although the NX's CPU, GPU and RAM details are yet to be revealed, the CPU is said to be 15-30% faster than the PS4, Frag Hero reported.
