In several interviews in the past, South Korean actor Song Joong Ki talked about the one who got away.
On Sept. 5, 2012, the 30-year-old star showed up in front of local reporters, along with co-star Moon Chae Won and Park Si Yeon, to promote their drama "The Innocent Man" at a press conference held in Seoul, South Korea.
During the press conference, the Hallyu star spilled the beans on dating style and touched upon the subject of his first love. He revealed that he have not forgotten his first love, whom he met when he was in the ninth grade and dumped him shortly after 103 days.
"I bet all men are the same, but it's not easy to forget first love," Drama Fever quoted the actor as saying to the local reporters. "To a man, first love means so much that he never forgets about it."
The actor went ahead to say that he have been informed that his first love is already married. He revealed that he always watched "Architecture 101" - a romantic film about first love.
Song added that recalling the feelings he had on his first love helped him in portraying the titular character of Kang Ma Ru. In the drama, Kang transforms from a nice person into a bad one after he emotionally got hurt by the woman he cherishes.
In a separate interview, the Hallyu star said that he learned a lot of romance style from his portrayal as Captain Yoo Si Jin (aka Big Boss), the sweet gallant boyfriend of Dr. Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) in KBS' "Descendants of the Sun" TV series.
"He [Yoo Si Jin] says things that women want to hear. I thought to myself, 'So this is what you have to do to make your girlfriend happy'," Korea Herald quoted the actor as saying to a group of reporters amid the blockbuster melodrama finale conference on April 14.
With respect to his ideal type, Joong Ki previously revealed that a wise and sensible woman would first get his attention and that looks are just secondary. When asked to name a celebrity that is closest to his perfect woman, the actor said the name of the Australian model, Miranda Kerr.
