Rumors that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be unveiling at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 have been squashed by the imminent release of "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" DLC, which is expected to happen at the same event.

The latest analysis on Bethesda's upcoming events hints that the release of "The Elder Scrolls 6" at the E3 2016 may be merely advance hype for the game. The closest realities point out that the Studio is unlikely to release the game along with the DLC at the same time.

The rumors about the release of the sixth franchise of the game were sparked by a tweet posted by Developer Bethesda, which exhibited the promotion of the E3 2016. The tweet, in the form of an image, contained a group of characters from different franchises that the developer has developed, with one of the characters belonging to "The Elder Scrolls."

For that reason, fans came up with assumptions that the "Elder Scrolls 6" would end up unveiling at the E3. Unfortunately, several signs, which the DLC is one of them, show that this may not be actually the case.

"The Elder Scrolls" fans have reportedly been dissapointed by this, though there is a consolation that "TES 6" will certainly happen. Bethesda Softworks Vice President Pete Hines stated in a Gamescom 2015 interview, as cited by Neuro Gadget, that the company was 100 percent focused on "Fallout 4."

This means that "The Elder Scrolls 6" was not yet in the works at the time of the interview, something that points out that the game will not get released anytime soon. However, in another different interview with the Telegraph, Hines confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will happen, although the developer is not currently in the rush to work on it.

As for the "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" DLC, it will be released on both PC and Mac on May 31 and on June 14 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game itself was released on June 9, 2015, about a week before the E3 2015.

The release of "The Elder Scrolls 6" is, for now, expected to happen in 2019.Here is a fan-crafted "The Elder Scrolls 6" trailer:
