Lowly team Bologna FC (11-17-8, 41 points) will take on the challenge of reeling contenders AC Milan (14-10-12, 54 points) in a 2015-2016 Serie A season game at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on May 7th, Saturday as the current term slowly winds down to a close.
Bologna is presently at the 13th spot of the Italian top flight table, tied on points with Atalanta BC but has a superior goal difference of -11 compared to the latter's -7 with only two matchdays left before season's end.
However, they are precariously six points above the bottom three relegation area, which means they have to win at least one of their two remaining fixtures to ensure that they will not get demoted to Serie B next season.
