Pop star Justin Bieber is facing legal issues once again. The singer has been slapped with a lawsuit of $100,000 over claims that he smashed up Robert Earl Morgan's mobile phone, that contained valuable information.
The incident allegedly took place last month at Cle nightclub in Houston, Texas. Morgan was reportedly trying to record footage of the singer attempting to chug a beer bong but spilled ale all over himself in the process.
According to the lawsuit filed by Jason Friedman on Morgan's behalf, the "Baby" hit maker was furious when he realised that his botched attempt had been filmed by the plaintiff after which he grabbed the cellphone and smashed it to smithereens, TMZ reported. It is also stated that Morgan could not recover his SIM card back, which contained precious, seemingly irreplaceable memories like pics of his grandma's 100th birthday party.
Morgan also claimed in the lawsuit that he has lost several of his business contacts, along with some 5,000 pics and videos documenting his travels. Bieber is yet to comment on the matter.
The incident reportedly happened on the same night when the singer apparently tried to extinguish a cigarette on rapper Post Malone's arm, as seen in one of the pics leaked from the party. Another set of pictures emerged days later showing Malone reaching an arm out and grabbing the Canadian pop star's throat.
Meanwhile, Bieber is also facing PETA's backlash these days. The singer shared a pic on Instagram from his father's engagement party held in Toronto over the weekend in which he is seen posing with a tiger that is believed to be from controversial Bowmanville zoo. The animal rights organization has issued a lengthy statement on May 1, Sunday, to slam Bieber and his family for using the tiger and other exotic animals for their amusement.
"What Justin and other party guests probably don't know is that Michael Hackenberger, the owner of that zoo, was recently charged with five counts of cruelty to animals because of PETA's undercover footage, which shows him viciously whipping a young tiger during a 'training' session and then bragging about it," PETA wrote on its blog.
Hackenberger is also known for supplying tigers for films such as "Life of PI" and "The Interview." Bieber has yet to respond on PETA's comments. Meanwhile, enjoy his recent hit "Sorry" below:
