According to Watchers on the Wall, the title, "Book of the Stranger," is not a direct reference from George R.R. Martin's book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," unlike the titles of previous episodes "Home" (episode 2) and "Oathbreaker" (episode 3). The website speculates that the title of "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 episode 4 might be a reference to "'The Stranger' who is one facet of the Severn new gods of Westeros."

At the same time, the website suggests that it might simply be a reference to "something religious." This is because the Seven storyline is still in play this season, considering Margery and Loras' current imprisonment and Cersei's impending trial.

In addition, Winter is Coming has reported some spoilers based on speculations for "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 episode 4 "Book of the Stranger." According to the fansite, the Faith, the Sparrows and the Faith Militant will be the key focus of the segment. "The Book" is possibly a reference to the Seven-Pointed Star, the holy scripture of the Faith of the Seven.

Elaborating on the title, the website suggests that this holy book has different sections dealing with different aspects of the religion. Just like each deity, if the Stranger gets a book to themselves it might be called "Book of the Stranger." However, Martin's novels only talk about the "Maiden's Book."

The website notes that the Stranger is covered in a cloak and the deity's gender has not be disclosed. This Westerosi god is associated to dead. So, does the reference to the deity indicate death is coming?

Note: A promo video for the upcoming segment is yet to be released. It will be made available as soon as it is unveiled. Stay tuned.
