Lowly team SV Darmstadt 98 (9-13-11, 38 points) will try to move further away from the bottom three relegation area as they face fourth-running squad Borussia Monchengladbach (16-13-4, 52 points) at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor on May 14th, Saturday in their final 2015-2016 Bundesliga fixture.

Darmstadt is settled at the 13th spot of the league table, precariously three points above the bottom three zone, which makes them in danger of at least dropping in the relegation playoffs if they lose this game against Monchengladbach.

Die Lilien pulled off a 2-1 upset victory over contending team Hertha Berlin SC last Saturday at the Olympiastadion to snap their two-game losing skid, as reported by SkySports.

Hertha's Czech midfielder Vladimir Darida opened the match's scoring at the 14th minute to give the hosts the early upperhand. German winger Jerome Gondorf was able to equalize 10 minutes later to reach the half tied at 1-all.

Manager Dirk Schuster's side then scored the winning goal eight minutes before full time, courtesy of striker Sandro Wagner, to steal the three points away from Hertha.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach also pulled off a much-needed upset, a 2-1 home win over third-placed squad Bayer Leverkusen at the Stadion im Borussia-Park also last Saturday, as per ESPN.

The visitors scored the opening goal of the contest at the 20th minute with a right-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box by Charles Aranguiz off an assist from striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.

However, midfielder Andre Hahn netted the next two goals of the contest at the 43rd and 79th minutes to help the hosts turn back their higher-placed rivals.

Die Fohlen is currently at the fourth spot of the league table, three points above fifth to seventh placed squads Mainz, Hertha, and Schalke with only one matchday left in the term. The win narrowed the gap between them and third-placed Leverkusen to only five points as both teams try to keep their Champions League berths.

The predicted result is a 2-0 win for Borussia Monchengladbach.
