"Suit" star Patrick J. Adams will be portraying the mystery DC character and several fan speculations hinted that it could be Rip's biological father Michael Jon Carter/Booster Gold due to him being "fun loving" character not to mention a fellow traveler as well. Other teased characters include Animal Man and Elongated Man.

Aside from mystery DC character in the finale, two new characters will be joining "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as the character description revealed to one male and one female. The male character is described as in his late-20's and mid-30s who grew up in the shadow of his World War 2 hero grandfather and has a "Han Solo" style facade to hide his insecurities, until he developed super powers which he can now use to live up t his family's legacy.

The second character is an African-American woman who is member of an elite paramilitary team during the 1940's. She is scrutinized in her time for both her gender and race, thus she works twice as hard to be a perfect soldier. She also feels responsible for the death of a teammate who she has repressed feelings with and vows revenge.

While their real names are not mentioned, fan speculated that male character is Nathan Heywood/Citizen Steel, who is the grandson of Henry Heywood/Commander Steel during World War 2. The character has ties with "Arrowverse" characters such as Vandal Savage, Mister Terrific (Eco Kellum) and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel).

The female character is speculated to be Zinda Blake/Lady Blackhawk, a female member of a WWII combat unit dubbed "The Blackhawks" and is a highly trained pilot, IDigital Times reported. Other character being considered to join season 2 are Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech), Conner Hawke (Joseph David-Jones) and John Constantine (Matt Ryan).

In other news, a main character from "Legends of Tomorrow" will likely die stopping Vandal Savage during its season finale.

Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg stated that audiences will see the demise of Vandal Savage in the season finale, but one the heroes will likely make the ultimate "sacrifice" in order to beat him, told Entertainment Weekly. It is unknown yet who that character is within the show, but the chances are that it could be Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) as she is the only person capable of killing Vandal Savage.

Co-producer Phil Klemmer stated that season 2 of "Legends of Tomorrow" will have a different line-up that is similar to the current roster in season 1.

"Legends of Tomorrow" will return on Thursday 8PM on the CW Network.
