The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus.

Samsung is releasing the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Galaxy S5 Plus, which has the model number SM-G901F. At the moment, the update is only available in Germany.

The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has the build number G901FXXU1CPE1, according to Sammobile. The rollout is commencing in a gradual manner and it will reach all users soon.

Users can also check their device to see if they are prompted for a software update. To do so, they need to go to Settings> About Device> Software Update.

In case the users are prompted to download the latest update then they need to connect Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus to a stable and unmetered Wi-Fi connection. The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update can also be downloaded via a reliable data connection but the user may incur high data charges. Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus users who want to experience Android Marshmallow soon can also download its custom ROM and they can install the latest update via the Odin flashing tool.

The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 rollout is expected to expand to other countries like Italy, Spain, Holland, India, Nigeria, North America and Canada in the coming weeks. Eventually, it will commence on a global scale by the end of May.

Samsung had first released the Android Marshmallow update for Galaxy S5 with the model number SM0G900F. After the global rollout of Android Marshmallow for Galaxy S5 now the update is releasing for Galaxy S5 Plus.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus was launched with Android Jelly Bean and was updated to Android Lollipop in March 2015. It may also get the upcoming operating system Android N in early 2017.

Android Marshmallow comes with an exciting array of features like a new Settings layout, Doze and Google Now on Tap, which help to increase the battery life of the device. Users can also customize the app permissions as per their comfort level, according to BGR.
