"I love education. It's always been a huge part of my life. I've always really prided myself on being a smart young woman," Moretz told Bustle while promoting "Neighbors 2." There is something in the educational system that the 19-year-old does not agree with as she said she would have to be spending so much of her "hard-earned money to go to college to get a higher education."

The actress has made her own money since she was young and does not want to have debts and pay it back 10 to 15 years after. At 17, she reportedly earned $400,000 in "The Equalizer."

Moretz considers the financial strain faced by young Americans today a very big issue. To go to a private college, one needs to spend an average of $32,000 yearly tuition cost, which is usually big for students, according to Daily News

Moretz does recognize some benefits of attending college and admires her new movie for showing a realistic part of college. For her, students do not know what they are doing and they can have a moment in college by reinventing themselves to be whatever they want to be.

The young actress is eyeing on self-education, and will take an initiative to know more about the world. After high school, she will travel and learn about things.

Moretz plays Shelby, a leading member of a sorority in "Neighbors 2," which revisits the premise of the original movie where a wild bunch of college youngsters next door terrorized young parents. The parties are thrown by an alternative sorority who live near the couple since on-campus sororities are not typically allowed to have their own parties in real life.
