Contending squad Southampton FC (17-11-9, 60 points) will try to snag a Europa League berth for next season as they face lowly team Crystal Palace FC (11-17-9, 42 points) at the St. Mary' Stadium on Sunday, May 15th for their final match of the 2015-2016 Premier League season.

Southampton is currently settled at the seventh spot of the English top flight table, only two points behind sixth-placed squad West Ham United and the last Europa League qualifying slot. With still a game left in this term, the Saints can still claim the said qualifying berth if they win this match and West Ham loses their season finale against Stoke City.

Manager Ronald Koeman's boys are coming off an impressive 2-1 victory over second-running squad Tottenham Hotspur FC on the road at the White Hart Lane last Sunday, as reported by SkySports.

A double by English midfielder Steven Davis at the 31st and 72nd minutes propelled the Saints to the come-from-behind triumph after the Spurs' South Korean striker Son Heung-min broke the 0-0 deadlock at the 16th minute of the match.

It was the third straight victory for Southampton and fifth consecutive unbeaten performance to let them overtake Liverpool in the standings and move within two points of the Hammers.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace also came from behind to beat Stoke City, 2-1, at their home field of Selhurst Park last Saturday, as per BBC Sport.

Potters midfielder Charlie Adam netted the opening goal of the contest at the 26th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at the half. However, the hosts are not to be denied as they scored two goals after the restart, courtesy of a brace from English striker Dwight Gayle at the 47th and 68th.

The win snapped the Eagles four-game winless slide as they are now at the 14th spot of the league table, safely eight points above the bottom three relegation area.

The predicted result is a 1-0 win for Southampton.
