Reports suggest that the First Lady will transform herself from the President's biggest supporter to his main rival in the upcoming season. She revealed her true colors and her political ambition in "House of Cards" Season 4.

Rumors also suggest that the First Lady is aware about how the President's secrets and she may very well use them to her advantage. She is an old pro at transforming situations to her advantage as she did with her mother's death in the last season.

The "House of Cards" Season 4 ended on a sordid note when the audience realized the true power of the First Lady's hatred for her husband, as she pushes him into doldrums from which it would be difficult to emerge victorious. Season 5 of the much-anticipated show will start on a new trajectory altogether, after the unexpected Season 4 finale twist, according to Independent.

The Underwoods are hungry for power and they do not mind stepping over the bodies of their detractors while running for the Oval Office. In the last season, the couple did not bat an eyelid when they saw James Miller being stabbed in front of their eyes and the same trait is expected to continue in Season 5 as well.

In order to further her political ambition, the First Lady may have led the President into a self-destructive trap, as she has always been his main adviser. She also guided him how to handle the Tom Hammerschmidt saga and is now ready to reap the benefits of his dismal state in the upcoming season.

"House of Cards" Season 5 is expected to premiere in March 2017.
