"Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum will be playing Remy LeBeau/Gambit in the character's solo film and probably in future "X-Men" films as a member of the team. Gambit was previously portrayed by "True Detective" star Taylor Kitsch in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". With Gambit's name being hinted could this mean that fans will get a glimpse of Tatum's portrayal of the Raging Cajun in the big screen.

However, Kinberg explained that he did not say any particular character and provided only hints of a character that could appear in future projects such as "New Mutants", "Wolverine 3" or the next "X-Men" sequel.

In other news, director Bryan Singer teased a the "Weapon X" version of Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) during the events of "X-Men: Apocalypse" film.

The final trailer for the film confirmed Logan's appearance in the film as he helped Scott Summers/Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) escaped a military base, which will likely be the Weapon X facility. Singer stated in an interview that this version of Wolverine will different and unlike anything they have ever seen before as he described him as the real "Weapon X" and he be a full-on, out control and animalistic.

Jackman will be returning as Logan/Wolverine again in "Wolverine 3" and will retire the character after that, which sparked the rumors that Logan could be headed to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Aside from Wolverine, Singer tease that there is a possibility that Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) could working alongside X-Men in future projects. He told Variety that to take a character as irreverent and meta as Deadpool and connect him to something as grounded and serious as X-Men, they have to do it carefully and gently as putting together without proper planning could be a disaster.

The "Deadpool" movie featured two X-Men members Colossus and Nega Sonic Teenage Warhead, not to mention the inclusion of the time traveling mutant Cable in the sequel, which will likely form the X-Force team.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be showing in cinemas on May 27.
