After three episodes of set-ups, highly-anticipated resurrection and really slow pacing, "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 4 picked up the pace of the series to an exciting new level. In the episode, titled "Book of The Strangers," while Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) faced the reality of what should he do to take back the North, fan-favorite Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) once again proved her power against Dothraki.
As the episode 4 began, Snow is shown heading out of the Castle Black as he is being coaxed by Dolorous Edd (Eddison Tollett), who asks him where he is heading. As Snow jokes that he is heading South to get warm, his speech is interrupted by a bugle sound and he comes face to face with Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and her entourage.
The two half siblings embrace each other in a long hug and spent some time reminiscing about their youth at Winterfell. Snow expresses that he wants the Stark princess to accompany her in his journey. Sansa says that they should head back to Winterfell. Snow reveals that he is done with fighting battles. Sansa seems determined and replies with reluctance that she will do it alone if she has to.
Meanwhile, Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) declares that she will accompany Snow wherever he goes. Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) expresses her animosity against Melisandre and reveals that she had executed Stannis Baratheon.
In Vale, Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) is back and is shown making schemes to ensure that Lord Royce and the rest of the houses in that region swear their loyalty to still-immature Lord Robin Arryn (Lino Facioli). The former also announces that the forces of the Vale will join Sansa to help her take down the Boltons.
In Meeren, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) attempts to work his diplomatic magic on the leaders of other cities of Slavers Bay, but they do not trust him. Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) and Missandei (Nathalie Emmnuel) stand with Tyrion but confront with him in private about his moves.
Daario (Michiel Huisman) and Jorah (Iain Glen) continue to look for Daenerys and reach Temple of the Dosh Khaleen. They somehow manage to meet the Mother of Dragon, who instead of running away with them, reveals that she has another plan.
In King's Landing, Queen Margaery (Natalie Dormer) is brought once again before the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce), who reveals to her about his past as a cobbler. Elsewhere, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) informs Lady Olenna (Diana Rigg) that Margaery is about to take her own walk of shame through King's Landing. Together, they draw a plan to send Tyrell army to seize Margaery and return her to the king, bringing down the High Sparrow in the process.
Yara comes face to face with Theon (Alfie Alleb). She is frustrated at her brother's new meek persona. Osha (Natalia Tena) meets a terrible end at the hands of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon).
At Castle Balck, a letter arrives to inform Snow and Sansa that their brother Rickon Stark (Art Parkinson) is in Ramsay's captivity. After much pushing by Sansa, Snow decides to go back to Winterfell.
At Vaes Dothrak, the Khals have gathered to decide whether or not they will permit Daenerys to take her place among the Dosh Khaleen. Daenerys reminds them that Khal Drogo had pledged that Dothraki warriors will help her conquer Westeros.
Standing in the centre of the temple, Daenerys set the place on fire and burns them all. In a callback to season 1, she emerges naked from the flaming structure.
