Meanwhile, singer Johari Noelle talked to DNAinfo about landing a spot in "Chasing Destiny." She said to the website that it has been "unreal" for her. She could not believe that she would be working with people like Rowland and Frank Gatson. She added that working Rowland was "amazing."
"The No. 1 thing I got from the experience was the importance of not only being confident, but always being prepared for anything," Noelle said. She added that they practiced during "funky hours."
Noelle revealed that the girls practiced hard and some days they practiced from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
"The biggest takeaway is that I have to be ready all the time, so it was exciting. It taught me so much. It made me respect artists on a whole other level because they're 'on' all the time. They're ready all the time, and they work hard."
Noelle also talked about Rowland, before meeting her in person, she described her as a "quirky, friendly, down-to-earth woman." When she met Rowland she was exactly what she thought she was.
Noelle has also been trying to become a part of the film and TV industry. The singer worked in "Empire" as an extra. She shared an experience from the sets of the TV show. Taraji P. Henson was shooting with a guest actor who would try to talk to Noelle.
"He kept walking up to me saying 'Hey, how you doing, hey' like every five seconds. Taraji was like 'will you leave her alone? He's such a creep, you can't mind him.' I'm like, it's really no big deal. It was pretty funny," Noelle said.
