The showdown between Ichigo and Yhwach is finally underway and the former is ready to unleash his newfound offensive arsenal against the man that calls him "son." Next chapter, some light will be shed regarding the two men's past.
Last chapter began with Renji and Rukia being caught in the battle between Toshiro, Byakuya, Kenpachi against Gerard Valkyrie. The two was dumbfounded when they saw the adult Toshiro, who they thought was his brother. The captain did not even bother to explain and a powerful blast of reiatsu caught everyone's attention and it came from the place where Ichigo and Yhwach are clashing.
Yhwach commended Ichigo for not leaving a blind spot in his defense making him unable to attack. He also praised his so-called son for growing so strong that his power has finally taken visible form, which is his true and original potential. Ichigo, however, debunked his opponent's statement as he could have easily predicted his movements.
The parent-child debate continued until Yhwach told Ichigo to move on from the death of his mother, as it was necessary. Ichigo, infuriated, unleashed a powerful attack but was easily countered by the almighty King of the Sternritters. Yhwach finally stood up from his throne and told Ichigo that he should witness his ultimate power.
Now, fans over at Manga Helpers believe that next chapter will continue with Ichigo and Yhwach's battle and a few flashbacks along the way. Fans believe they will begin to see the results of Ichigo's royal training along with the possibility of Aizen lending him a hand. There is no denying that Ichigo is not enough to defeat the almighty Yhwach, hence, the need of a cunning and powerful ally. The question is if they will be able to set aside their differences after almost killing each other not so long ago.
Meanwhile, fans over at Reddit believe the flashback will revolve around Ichigo's mother and Yhwach. It will reveal how the protagonist came to be and as the battle progresses, Ichigo will reveal a much improved Bankai and his true potential will finally be revealed.
