The prophecy suggesting the death of Original vampires/ Mikaelson is looming over their heads. The dangerous threats and deadly attacks continue. According to the synopsis for "The Originals" Season 3 finale (via Spoilersguide), the Mikaelsons finally confront the one person who could become the cause of their death and make the prophecy come true.
At the same time, the compound is taken over by oldest sworn enemies of Mikaelsons. They are here to put Klaus to the trial "for centuries of atrocities he's committed."
As or Marcel, he continues to lose control, his desire for revenge overpowers him. Someone from his past returns leaving him stunned. According to Entertainment Weekly, Rebekah Mikaelson, the Original sister, returns. Rebakah has vowed to protect her brothers "always and forever." And she is here to protect them from her ex-lover. After taking Lucien's serum, Marcel has become powerful enough to annihilate Mikaelson family. But Rebekah will not let that happen. She is here to keep her family safe. Will Rebekah be able to save Klaus from Marcel? How will Rebekah's return impact Marcel?
Elsewhere, Elijah, Freya and Kol team up to devise a plan to save their family.
