In the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 44 "The Seal of Planet Potaufeu. Secret of the Unleashed Superhuman Water!" promo video, Goten and Trunks board the spaceship Monaka uses to deliver goods. Now, they are stuck in the truck and headed to a new planet. Despite Goten and Trunks being Saiyans they are still kids in an unknown territory and someone will have to save them from aliens.
Meanwhile, some aliens do try to attack Goten and Trunks and it is likely that Goku will handle the situation.
The synopsis for DBS episode 44:
"One day, Monaka, who really was just a deliveryman from a shipping company, went to Bulma's house to deliver a package and found himself in an awkward situation by helping her with an experiment. Meanwhile, Trunks and Goten, who were playing in Monaka's load-carrying tray, fell asleep. Monaka, not knowing a thing, took off to Planet Potofu. In Planet Potofu there's "Choujinsui", a miraculous water, which was being protected by Potaaju but had its seal broken by Guriiru," reads the synopsis for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 44 shared by Gojiitaaf.

It is expected that the Future Trunks arc would see a spike in the numbers.
