Fans could now put the rumors aside after Boyega's reps told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor is not and will not be included in the film that will star Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B. Jordan. The news was confirmed despite the never ending speculation on the "Black Panther" movie cast.

Boyega's agent in the United Kingdom Mr. Femi Oguns also shared the same news on his Twitter account. Mr. Oguns wrote that his client Boyega will not be part of the "Black Panther" movie.

The recent confirmation has dismissed claims that Boyega will be joining the movie that would feature almost 90 percent African or African-American actors. Rumors started circulating the media after Marvel Studios President Kevin Fiege began following Boyega on Twitter.

"Black Panther" movie will be the very first black superhero in American comics. The film will be directed by Ryan Coogler, the director behind "Rocky" spinoff, the "Creed."

As for the lead role, it has been revealed that Boseman was the lucky one chosen to reprise his role in the movie after his successful stint in "Captain America: Civil War" as Black Panther, also known as T'Challa. Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o will be the female lead while Jordan will be playing the role of one of the antagonists, according to Daily Mail.

Since news about the "Black Panther" movie came out, doubt whether the first black superhero film will succeed or not has surfaced. "There have been a lot of comic books titles that have featured people of color and they haven't been comparatively as successful as others," Georgia State University professor of African-American studies Jonathan Gayles told the publication.

Gayles added that there has been a lot of hesitation to accept the idea before. However, if the "Black Panther" movie will make it big on the big screen, then it could start a trend in the movie industry. After all, it is all about making money, he claimed.
