The WWE just finished taping NXT episodes for the two weeks leading up the TakeOver event on June 8. Asuka defending her NXT women's championship against Nia Jax and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Austin Aries were added to the NXT TakeOver: Revenge match card.

According to Cageside Seats, Bayley was ruled out for the upcoming live special due to an injury suffered at the hands of Jax. The former plus-size model competed in a Triple Threat Match against Carmella and Alexa Bliss to become the No. 1 contender for Asuka's NXT women's title.

In the next taped episode, Jax got the upper hand on the champion after hitting a powerbomb. On the other hand, Nakamura vs. Austin was made official by NXT general manager William Regal.

The match will likely determine the new No. 1 contender for the NXT title because both superstars were claiming to be the next champion. These two matches are not yet announced by the WWE since the episodes taped are going to be aired on May 25 and June 1.

Nonetheless, expect Asuka vs. Jax and Nakamura vs. Aries to be made official next week. Reigning NXT champion Samoa Joe and challenger Finn Balor just signed a contract for their match on June 8 in the latest episode of NXT.

The bout will be the first-ever Steel Cage Match in NXT history, WWE.com reported. It will be the third straight main event for Joe and Balor, who also faced each other at NXT TakeOver: London in December 2015 and NXT TakeOver: Dallas in April.

The second confirmed match is for the NXT Tag Team titles held by Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, also known as American Alpha. Former champions Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson or The Revival will finally get their rematch after losing the titles at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.

Here is the updated match card of NXT TakeOver: Revenge on June 8, 2016. The event will take place at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

  •  Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor in a Steel Cage Match for the NXT championship.
  •  Asuka vs. Nia Jax for the NXT women's championship.
  •  American Alpha vs. The Revival for the NXT Tag Team championships.
  •  Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Austin Aries.
