The "Gotham" Season 2 finale will air on Fox on May 23. Fans can expect a touch of comedy in the finale courtesy of the two versions of Detective James "Jim" Worthington Gordon Sr. (Ben McKenzie).
Hugo Strange (BD Wong) will put one version of Jim through the wringer in "Gotham" Season 2 episode 22 titled "Transference." Surprisingly, the latter will find absolution there, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
The other version of Jim, the villain one, will make an attempt to keep GCPD at bay. The Court of Owls and Huge Strange, on the other hand, have other plans for Indian Hill.
The other characters to be featured in "Gotham" Season 2 finale are Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), Leslie Thompkins, Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee), Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) and Barbara Kean (Erin Richards). Camren Bicondova, James Frain, Drew Powell, Michael Chiklis and Nicholas D'Agosto will also star in the finale.
In "Gotham" Season 2 episode 21 titled "A Legion of Horribles," which aired on May 16, Gordon was brought into another room with Strange. On behalf of the latter, Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) interrogated Bruce Wayne (David Mazuoz) and Lucious Fox (Chris Chalk), who were put in a chamber together and were asked reveal their knowledge, otherwise, they would face lethal gas released by nozzles in the ceiling.
Strange's inmates will figuro out how to escape and start their new lives in Gotham in episode 22. A new threat will then face the city of Gotham while Bruce, Lucius and Gordon remain at Indian Hill.
After playing Strange in "Gotham," Wong will reprise his role as Whiterose, a transgender hacker, in "Mr. Robot" Season 2. The second season is scheduled to premiere on USA network on July 31.
In a recent interview with Out, Wong was asked how he adjusted to Whiterose's hair and makeup. He explained that he had to dismantle a hard drive with very long fingernails on while on a pair of "toweringly fabulous shoes." Although no one ever saw them, the actor said he insisted on wearing them all night.
"There was a lot of physical discomfort involved," Wong told the magazine. "It was a nightmare of props and costumes crashing together."
