In an interview with ESNews, Mayweather was asked about him fighting against the mix martial arts superstar, wherein he said that that McGregor is a tough competitor. The boxing superstar hinted that although it is not official yet, he said that they are going to have a master plan in order to make the fight happen.

The undefeated champion also added that he and his team have set some dates in various countries and cities in the United States; however, Mayweather did clarify that he should be guaranteed of $100 million dollars for the fight to happen.

Mayweather did emphasize in the interview that the Mayweather-McGregor match is an intriguing fight, knowing that he is in the boxing world and McGregor is in line with mix martial arts. He also said that anything is possible, teasing his fans that the fight may really happen soon.

On the other hand, an MMA live extra analyst Brett Okamoto said on his report via ESPN that if the fight would become a reality, it may only be a five rounder, where the first 4 rounds of the fight will be under boxing rules while the last round should be under MMA rules.

In addition, Okamoto did also note some interesting undercards for the said fantasy fight. The analyst listed Manny Pacquiao against Donald Cerrone, Canelo Alvarez versus Nate Diaz, Tyson Fury and Fabricio Werdum, Gennady Golovkin and Robbie Lawler, plus Wladimir Klitschko against Jon Jones.

As of the moment, there is still no official confirmation whether the Mayweather versus McGregor fight would happen.
