Many rumors have emerged about what "American Horror Story" Season 6 could have in store for avid fans. Now, the series star Finn Wittrock has given some insight on the mysterious sixth installment of the thriller anthology.
In a recent interview with The Wrap, the 31-year-old star was asked about some behind the scenes action for the Ryan Murphy series. Although the actor did not give specifics, he said that he believes that the next installment of the series will be "a little tighter" and "more claustrophobic."
The supposed "American Horror Story" returnee is yet to confirm his involvement in the upcoming installment as he said that he already booked other projects that will seemingly clash with "AHS'" filming schedule. However, Wittrock shared that he is ready to adjust his program just to be included in "American Horror Story" Season 6.
If Wittrock's attendance in the previous Paley Fest panel for the series is an indication of his dedication to the show, fans should expect that both camps would try to exhaust all possibilities to have him involved. Although he is not yet in the official casting sheet, Wittrock confirmed that he has "heard it is going to be a little tighter - there were so many story lines in the last one and it was so big and epic."
Murphy and the development team are still keeping everything about the upcoming installment under wrap. According to Wittrock, scarcity of official news could be a deliberate move since even the cast has been kept in the dark.
Meanwhile, fans are wondering whether actress Connie Britton will return to "American Horror Story," particularly after ABC's "Nashville" was cancelled on Thursday, May 12 after Season 4. The country music themed soap, "Nashville," is currently in the middle of its fourth season and the May 25 season finale will wrap up the series.
"Nashville" is so far averaging 1.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers overall in Nielsen's "live plus-7" approximates, according to Variety. The show consistently ranked third in the 10 p.m. hour, wasting a concrete lead-in from ABC's hit comedy lineup.
While it is unclear whether Britton will make a comeback to "American Horror Story," the actress who featured in "Nashville" since 2012 did have a considerable experience starring in "American Horror Story" Season 1. In fact, Britton received an Emmy nomination for her performance as the tormented Vivien Harmon.
