The New Day is still the reigning WWE tag team champions after defeating The Vaudevillains at "Extreme Rules." The latest rumors suggest that the champs will be feuding again The Social Outcasts next before they begin a program with Enzo Amore & Big Cass for SummerSlam.

The trio of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E. successfully defended the tag title against the team of Simon Gotch and Aiden English at "Extreme Rules" on Sunday, May 22. Woods and Big E. represented The New Day in the match with the former hitting a Shining Wizard on English for the win.

In the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, The New Day faced The Social Outcasts in a six-man tag team match. The champions were victorious after hitting the Big Ending finisher on Heath Slater.

According to Cageside Seats, the feud between the teams will continue until the next pay-per-view "Money in the Bank" in June. The Social Outcasts is considered as filler challengers for the champions since they are a bunch of "jobbers."

The team of Slater, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel will no longer have Adam Rose, who was released from his contract on Monday, May 23. Rose, who requested his release, was recently arrested for domestic violence and tampering with a witness.

On the other hand, the team of Enzo Amore & Big Cass will be waiting in the wings before they get a shot at the WWE tag team championships. Amore just returned from a concussion he suffered in a freak accident at "Payback."

The likely filler feud for them will be against The Dudley Boyz, who they defeated in the semifinals of the No. 1 contenders tag team tournament. In "Extreme Rules," Big Cass beat up Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley on his own.

SummerSlam 2016 will be held on Aug. 23 in Brooklyn, New York near the hometown of the realest guys in the room. It is expected that the duo will win the WWE tag team champions at the event.

According to Daily Wrestling News, WWE chairman Vince McMahon is very high on Big Cass due to his size. It is also noted that top company officials see the team as future stars due to their charisma and ability to cut impressive promos.
